'This Little Piggie' - John Chambers - Special Makeup Effects

Many interviews and articles with and about the great Makeup maestro John Chambers (1922-2001) can be found in different
magazines. His list of credits on imdb.com is long.
But nowhere I found any information about his work for the popular TV series 'Bewitched'!?
During his busiest work period in the late 60s and 70s he took on Special Makeup jobs for countless small and large
film and televison productions.
Much of it is not widely known. Like his work for 'Bewitched'?
In the early 70s Johnny Chambers fashioned a cartoonish Pig Mask for actor Dick Sargent in his fully equipped Garage Shop.
The latex mask was for the 'This Little Piggie' episode, aired 25 February 1971.
Head of the makeup department for the series during that time was Rolf Miller.
The generous Makeup Specialist John Chambers often helped other makeup people here and there
without asking many questions and without being credited.
Did he do this one single mask for the show or more, everything is possible!?
'Bewitched' Emmy-nominated make-up artist Rolf Miller was on the tragic 'Up from the Ape' flight that
crashed in the mountains.
Three-dozen crew members from the Show were killed on March 13, 1974.
Janos Prohaska, along with his 27-year-old stuntman son Robert Prohaska, were among the victims.
The father-son team had created the costumes for 'Up from the Ape'.
Their work remained largely anonymous, but Star Trek fans know Janos Prohaska as the actor who played several of the
series most notable aliens.
Robert Prohaska was the guy in the creature costume that Johnny Chambers fashioned for the 'Night Gallery
cult episode 'Pickman's Model'.
Soon on this channel!

The bristling hair of the pig looks pretty good.
Darrin (Dick Sargent) has devised two jingles for the 'Colonel Bringham's Spareribs' campaign,
when Endora (Agnes Moorehead) decided to make a few funny changes.

Garage wizard Johnny Chambers sculpted a clay bust of the pig head as basis for the mask.
He's got some photos of pig's heads as a reference.

Who can tell me more about John Chambers work for the 'Bewitched' television series?
A one episode job?
I already have some little stories online about the pioneering special makeup effects of John Chambers.
And more to come ...for sure!
But first you should look at this: 'True Grit' - Flying fingers make-up effect.
And those of you whose tastes in art lean toward the bizarre: 'Night Gallery'.
And for the 'Ape' fans: 'Beneath the Planet of the Apes'.
